Hire car
Published 3 months, 1 week ago in Uncategorized.We are thinking of having our hooneymoon in Tasmaina, and hiring a car while we are there. I have never hired a car before, I need some advise on what to do. Do I get insurance, and which one do I get? We will be taking out travel insurance which gives us some cover for insurance excess.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

ya its fun to drive around tassie. i went there in 2003 with my then boyfriend, now hubby. if u happen to visit hobart, i recommend u stay at lenna place. on saturday, they have market along the salamanca street, its just like portebello market in london.
I have no idea where Tasmaina is but I love the idea of a hooneymoon. It’s about time us hoons got together and swapped some love.
Yes, get car insurance. It will probably be in the hire charge but the crunch is CDW, collision damage waiver. If you don’t have this then expect a $500 charge for a scratch!
Tip. Buy cdw from someone like RACV before you go – much cheaper.

if you drive here in melbourne then you should be okay and second there is a way to tasmania on the ferry and for a few bucks take your own car
but if not then take out a little insurance and this normly comes if your renting

I’ve never hired a car either, but I would suggest you go to some hire car websites and read-up on what your fees include.
